Pacquiao Will Fight Marquez at 145 Pounds

Talks is going on the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight Manny Pacquiao’s adviser, Michael Koncz, said that the Filipino boxing icon will face the Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez at 145-pound catchweight. If the proposed fight Pacquiao vs Marquez will push through, then it will be at 145 pound because Manny Pacquiao said that he will fight lower than 145. Manny Pacquiao is currently defending his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title against Sugar Shane Mosley at 147 pounds.

Juan Manuel Marquez ask his rival Manny Pacquiao that they will fight at 143 pound in their third fight but Top Rank Promotions CEO, Bob Arum said that its 145 and not 143. These two fighters already clashed in the past and it was a tight battle. In their fist encounter in 2004, Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez ended up in a controversial draw. They have a rematch after 4 years and Juan Manuel Marquez was defeated by Manny Pacquiao in a split decision where Pacquiao take away the WBC super featherweight title from Marquez.
In the time being, Bob Arum is working on the third rematch of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez where the Mexican warrior wants to prove that he is a much better figther than the Filipino champ.
