Pacquiao vs Marquez: It’s Final

It’s already out and confirmed, Marquez will get his rematch with Pacquiao. The Mexican fighter has already signed the contract for the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight last Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Marquez will fight Pacquiao for their third rematch to complete the trilogy.

This third rematch is set to be held on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao’s belt will also be at stake in this match. This fight will settle all the doubts from their two previous bouts. Their first fight in 2004 resulted in a draw. Four years later, they meet again on top of the ring which resulted in a split decision. After their two fights, Marquez claimed that he has been had and that he should have won the fight. Pacquiao on the other hand has stopped a string of hard fighters like Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito and recently Shane Mosley.

“I like the fight, how can you not after the first two fights?” the LA times quoted DuBoef, who supervised Marquez’s signing at the Beverly Hills Hotel, as saying. “The thing I like best about this one is the fans are encouraged by it.” “These guys have fought like gladiators over the course of their last 24 rounds together, and I believe we have another 12 more like that ahead of us,” he further added.
