Pacquiao vs Marquez: No need for Olympic style testing for PEDS

People in the world of boxing are asking if there is a need for Olympic style testing for performance enhancing drugs (PEDS) in the Pacquiao vs Marquez fight on November 12, 2011, well the anser is no. It was revealed at a realiable source that there is no need for the the extra testing in this fight. Marquez didn’t ask for it as he quoted in an interview where he said, “I don’t know if he uses them or not. If he did use them, he should feel bad for each victory he had an unfair advantage in…I am not asking for any additional drug tests.”

I think that the Mexican fighter Juan Manuel Marquez don’t want to do anything to make the Pacquiao vs Marquez fall apart. It happened to Floyd Mayweather Jr. where he want to get extra testing and the fight didn’t push thru.

But still Manuel Marquez wants David Diaz to be his tuneup partner because diaz is a southpaw like Manny Pacquiao. Diaz is also familiar with Manny Pacquiao’s boxing style. Diaz also knows the strengths and weaknesses of the Filipino champ.

In the Pacquiao vs Marquez, all is in favor with th Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao against Manuel Marquez because it was already proven that Marquez is not that good in the above 140 weight. Juan Manuel Marquez fought against Floyd Mayweather at above 140 and Marquez was slow and easily beaten. Another thing is the age factor of Marquez where is already deteriorating as a boxing fighter.

Pacquiao vs. Marquez Third Rematch?

After the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao defeated Sugar Shane Mosley, he is now eying a third rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez. This fight will complete Pacman’s trilogy bout with Marquez. The fight has been set six months from now.
Top Rank’s head honcho, Bob Arum is planning to set Pacquiao’s next fight in November. The lists of possible opponents are Juan Manuel Marquez, Tim Bradley and Zab Judah. Of the three fighters, Marquez has the highest probability to be chosen. Marquez’ first brush with Pacquiao resulted in a draw while the second one resulted in a split decision in favor of Pacquiao. A Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight will be a crowd drawer because their previous two fights were explosive. The only thing that Marquez has to do now is to gain weight in order to come up to Pacquiao’s catch weight of 144 pounds.
